Frugal Family Friday | Best 2011 Alaska Cruise Deals

Radiance of the Seas

Alaska is an absolutely beautiful place to visit on a cruise – one that is definitely on our list.  An oceanview or balcony cabin would probably be ideal if you want to see the scenery while cruising, but you could definitely enjoy it from a public open deck location if you choose an inside cabin due to price.

The least expensive dates to cruise to Alaska are the shoulder seasons of May and September, when the weather would be cooler.  The other thing that causes prices to be lower is that many Alaskan cruises start and end at different ports.  Some go northbound and some go southbound, while others go round trip out of Vancouver or Seattle.
